Alstroemeria

The exhibition’s theme is the explosion of emotion: repressed feelings being expressed however possible. We are connected to these emotions, but can’t put them into words, so we put them onto the canvas in hopes of being able to process them.

The name Alstroemeria refers to the Japanese name of the Peruvian lily, a flower whose meaning reflects “a connection so strong that language is limited when trying to explain it.”
